Her H4 depends on my H1B validatity. Im said if i call AC21 using my EAD, then my H1B goes invalid and so her H4. Does this makes sense to you. Do you got other opinions ? If so let mw know. thanks.

I am convinced with Prashanthi.
Now these days, its relevantly easier for company to file GC for senior position which requires a higher minimum qualification (let�s say Masters) to avoid a lot of resume and/or audit. If a GC seeker has enough number of experience (10/11 +) and a higher degree then its comparatively easier than non-senior.
For a non-senior positions, prepare a good job adv with combination of skill set. If received a resumes without the combination then your company HR can reject the resume. No problem, as long as everything has been done properly, so that in case of an audit a proper response can be given.

lostinGCland: My wife (on H4) is in the same boat as you. Do you have AP in hand yet, and did they return your passport to you? If yes on both, then my attorney recommended to send a letter to the consulate instructing them to withdraw your H1B stamping application, then with a copy of that letter in hand, along with the AP, reenter the US on AP. In my case I applied for the AP in the us but it was approved and sent to me after I left the US. My lawyer says that it needs to be approved before I leave the US and therefore cannot use it. My wife got her EAD approved for 2 years, she is suppose to get her extension only for a year as on Sep 10 when they renewed her card the priority dates were current.

No - basically Uni's say "it's up to you, we're here to support you but we do not recommend you take this route, take it up with an immigration lawyer etc etc"

Ok i think u got me misunderstood : Ok to alleviate : Address A - My current address
Address B -- My friends address.
B is in IL , A is in CT. Now all my credit card statements , USCIS all other except DMV drivers license are in A. Only DL is with B reason i moved recently and not sure how many days this is going to work and since moving car registration etc is expensive thing in CT and there is no certainity on how it works . Now i am changing back my DL and Car registration hence asked this Question , i am well aware of fall backs of USCIS hence changed within 10 days filed AR-11 and all pending petetions and USCIS started corresponding with this new address.

50,000 visas were recaptured for Schedule A occupations - nurses and physical therapists. That is why both India and Philippines got more numbers in FY 2006.
The # for 2006 excludes schedule A recapture for nurses etc. Here is the breakdown
EB1 - 3K

Since there are lot of ppl here who have had EAD/AP for years ...
Do you know if USCIS lets you petition for renewal of EAD/AP only 4 months before expiry? Our legal assistant says that they can not apply for renewal until its 4 months to expiry. I was under the impression that we could apply six months in advance. Can someone post a USCIS link that provides a definitive answer?

Hi!
I have an approved H1 until 2009 but expired visa in my passport. I have AP and EAD approved. My lawyer has the original I-485 receipt notice - I only have a fax of it. I am travelling to India in Jan-08.
I am planning to re-enter the USA on AP. Do I need original I-485 receipt to re-enter? OR is AP documents enough? Do I need to carry approved H1-B notice or any other docs?

Buddy! I am not too sure about that. But according to my understanding security check is an optional thing depending on the job profile but this PIMS is for everyone. I am not too sure how long is the delay because of PIMS in Toronto. But ppl in India have waited on an average for 2 weeks. Again, some of them got their visa right away also. So, you may wanna call consulate and ask them if you are stuck coz of PIMS or also for additional security checks.
But in the end, I can say..dont worry! hang on there...you are not alone in this.

No they are NOT if you are talking about immigration!They are highly passionate and vocal in support for their own country and its leader (well are we???). Only reason they are enjoying immigration benfits is due to the US policy towards Cuba and its regime.
Well I do agree with you that we should avoid highlighting such issues and channelize our time and efforts towards the betterment of our own cause.
